David Muir is an American anchor and journalist best known for his ABC newscast World News Tonight with David Muir as well as for the ABC News magazine 20/20 for which he serves as a co-anchor. His program with its dramatic videos, celebrity news and his animated gestures has grown to become the most watched newscast in America. Made In America is his Emmy award-winning show. Prior to his appointment as anchor of ABC World News Tonight he was the main substitute anchor for the previous anchor Diane Sawyer. The majority of his evening ABC News specials include Breaking Point -- Heroin in America as well as Flashpoint - Refugees in America. The reporter has travelled the globe report on the news in Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti & the Gulf of Mexico. He has received multiple Emmy Awards Edward R.
