Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, at Puy-deDomme, France on the 9th of August 1976. Audrey Tautou is the fourth child among four children. The parents of Audrey Tautou who was both dentists and a teacher, recognized and supported their daughter's enthusiasm for acting and drama on a young stage. Their support was enough to thwart her initial ambition to be a the first primatologist. As a young woman rising to the heights of fame was rapid and marked with the beginning of her successes. It was only at the age of 1999 after which she began acting professionally. In the years following her studies, Tautou took part in the French TV show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers. Tautou, who attended her school at the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris when she was a kid and was a student there from young age, has disavowed her Catholic childhood. Now, she says she is not a Catholic. In addition to her acting career she also pursued modeling. She modelled of L'Oreal Mont Blanc, Chanel and was dubbed "The Chanel Muse". An avid photographer, she has recently exhibited at the Arles International Festival that was titled Superficial. Her work focuses on celebrity in addition to popularity. Also, it features portraits of herself and special focus on journalists who have been watching Tautou's career since her dramatic popularity after Amelie. Audrey Tautou's worldwide success and fame soared after her role as Amelie Poulain's main lady in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie made international waves at the box office and was awarded awards across the globe. It's the most-grossing French film to be released in the United States. After the release of this film, Tautou starred in many films that ranged from British dramas to Jean Pierre Jeunet's Un long Sunday de Faancailles. She then moved to Hollywood and was in the film with Tom Hanks alongside Ron Howard in The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.
